About us
SCOOP is a network for investigative journalists in East and Southeastern Europe.
SCOOP was founded in 2003 and since then investigative reporters have published a number of investigative stories in media all over the region.
The main idea is to develop a network between journalists in the region. A lot of stories and investigations are transnational and sharing experiences is a strong support for investigative journalists in their daily work.
SCOOP brings together professional journalists from the region to facilitate the sharing of best practises and production of investigative journalism.
Several investigations funded by SCOOP have won awards a.o.in Ukraine, Macedonia and Romania.
SCOOP is founded and managed by the Danish Association of Investigative Journalism (FUJ) and is run by FUJ in cooperation with International Media Support, a Danish ngo.
Bylaws of FUJ. SCOOP is financially supported by the 'Neightbourhood Programme' which is the Danish Governments bilateral programme towards the countries bordering the enlarged EU.
